Obituary of Shirley J. Peebles

Watertown - Shirley J. Peebles, 82, died Wednesday at the Samaritan Keep Home.  Per her wishes there will be no services and burial will be in the Rural Cemetery, Adams.

Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams.

Born May 26, 1935 in the town of Ellisburg, daughter of Gottlieb and Verna (Litz) Marti, she graduated from Adams High School.  She worked at the former Lally Manufacturing Company and Stop n’ Go Store, both in Adams, and later as a nursing assistant at Allen’s Nursing Home, Woodville.

She married Kenneth Peebles of Rodman.  The couple lived in Watertown.  The marriage ended in divorce.

She is survived by two sons William Peebles and John Peebles, both of Watertown; one daughter Barbara Timmerman, Adams; and one sister Doris McCreary, Oregon.

Shirley enjoyed Bingo, doing crossword puzzles and her cats.
