I remember Floyd as a soft spoken gentle man full of quiet wisdom and subtle wit. He reminded me of Fess Parker's Daniel Boone when I was growing up, but back then I may have been too young to have made an insightful observation. He was the least intimidating man I ever met. My admiration of Floyd is full of both joy and sadness as I feel he is the end of an era.
