Obituary of Beverly G. Bibbins
Beverly G. Bibbins, 90, wife of George E. Bibbins died Sunday morning July 15, 2018 at their Rodman home in the Town of Pinckney. Calling hours will be Thursday evening 5-8pm at the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams. The funeral will be Friday morning at the funeral home at 11:00 with Rev. Jane Wagner interim pastor of the Emmanuel Congregational Church, Watertown officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Rodman.
The family will greet friends at the Rodman Firehall after the committal.
Beverly was born February 23 1928 in Rochester, daughter of Kenneth and Blanche Brown Greene. She graduated from Adams Center High School in 1945. On October 12, 1946 she married George with Rev. John Wetzell officiating. She was a hairdresser and had a shop in her home and provided the first beauty shop in the Samaritan Keep Home.
Beverly was a volunteer at Samaritan Medical Center (former House of the Good Samaritan) for over 35 years. Having a strong desire to serve, Beverly was a minister serving churches in Deer River, Richville, Antwerp, Spragueville and Carthage. She was a devoted member of the Eastern Star for many years, serving as Matron of the Lucille Chapter OES, Rodman and as District Deputy Grand Matron of the Jefferson District of the OES.
In addition to her husband of 72 years, Beverly is survived by a daughter and her husband Karen and Mark Leeson, Philadelphia, and a son George, Jr. and his wife Christine, Rodman. Three grandchildren: Brett (Amy) Leeson, Natural Bridge; Aimee Bibbins, Copenhagen; Cara (Chad) Fredericks, Watertown; one great grandson, Brock, Watertown; and two step great grandchildren, Kyle and Whitney, Natural Bridge. Two brothers, Robert (Joan), Louisiana; Ralph (Lu) Green, Watertown and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Stennett and Frank Green, a sister, Eloise Malady, and grandson, Stennett Leeson.
Beverly and George enjoyed traveling and a cruise for their 50th anniversary. She enjoyed life to it fullest, her family and their camp at Cranberry Lake.
