Obituary of Faith J. VanVranken

Faith J. VanVranken, 80, of Watertown and formerly of Adams, died Saturday August 3, 2019 at Saint Luke’s Hospital, Utica, NY  Her funeral service will be 11:30 am Tuesday at the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams.  Burial will follow in the Rural Cemetery, Adams.  A calling hour will precede the funeral beginning at 10:30 am.  Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams.

Faith was born December 14, 1938 in Adams, daughter of Samuel and Cecile (Lyman) Remington.  She attended Adams High School.  Following school she worked as a nurses aide at the House of the Good Samaritan and later went to work at Chesebrough Ponds in Watertown, as a laborer of medical instruments.  She became disabled in 1977 and began working at home selling Friendly Home Parties, home goods variety and accessories.

She married Ralph VanVranken Jr. December 1962.  They couple lived in Rodman most of their married life.  Mr. VanVranken died August 25, 1981.

She is survived by her long time companion of twenty-one years, Timothy Sherbino, Watertown; a daughter Bambi L. (Darrell) Cole, Adams; a son Donald L. VanVranken, Adams; six grandchildren, Jamie Sampson, Jeremiah Wasilewski, Christopher Worthington, Jesse VanVranken, Krysheena Pitman, Zachery Cole; six great-grandchildren; a sister Ann Miller, Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband Ralph VanVranken Jr., a son Edwin VanVranken (d.2012); a daughter Alicia Wasilewski (d.1996); two sisters, one brother, one grand-daughter and one grandson.

Faith enjoyed computer games and home crafts.
