REMEMBERING GEORGE W. BIBBINS
George was one of the heroes of the early days of the Tug Hill Commission, and in recent times was declared a “Tug Hill Sage” by the Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust. In 1974 when the idea of forming a multi-town Cooperative Planning Board was proposed, George, as Supervisor of the Town of Pinckney, strongly supported the idea. Nine towns approved of the concept and the Cooperative Tug Hill Planning Board was formed. Their work blazed the trail for the now larger Tug Hill Council of Governments.
Peggy and I send our love to the family.
Ben Coe
First Executive Director of Tug Hill Commission and friend of the family
