Obituary of Roger A. Hoek

Roger A. Hoek, 79, of Henderson, NY died Saturday September 28, 2024 at the Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY.. Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home Inc, Adams, NY. Born February 27, 1945 in Paterson, NJ, son of William and Evelyn (Philhower) Hoek, he graduated from Ramapo High School , NJ, continuing on with trade school. When he was 18 years old he purchased an Esso Gas Station in Wyckoff, NJ. He sold his business after fifteen years to pursue new ventures and eventually went to work as a contractor for the Jules Lauber Company, NJ. He married Karen M. Decker of NJ in 1964. The couple lived in NJ, later moving to Pine Bush, NY and following his retirement in 1997, they moved to their current home in Henderson to be closer to his children and grandchildren and where they lived the rest of their married life. Roger is survived by his wife Karen, three sons Roger Jr (Christina), Eric, Todd (Laura); a daughter Brittiany (Calvin); twelve grandchildren; two great grandchildren; four sisters Gail, Nancy, Jacquline, Janet; and several nieces and nephews.
