Any words aren't enough to describe what Tom meant to us. I always enjoyed talking to him. He would always start and end by making me laugh...in-between he always had great words of wisdom and encouragement. When he would tip his chin up, sometimes accompanied by tears, I knew it was time to listen. I won't forget those talks.
Last winter I spent a week in the hospital and the first person through the door to see me was Tom. The half hour he spent with me was one of the best conversations I have ever had...it meant a tremendous amount to me that he took the time to see me.
He was a big part of the fabric of my life and the fabric of our community. I'll miss him a lot but I'll never forget that smile and the happiness he spread to everyone he met. He was truly a great man.

Ann and family....
Please except our condolences for your loss, I have so many great memories of Sunday mornings and the study that Tom had at your house. It was a time in my life that brought great change, Tom always made living the faith walk seem so important, it made me stop and think many times about what our lives should be about. I have quoted his famous one line many times: "Ya, but it is my house", well now he is in God's house and I'm sure that they will sort that out! Please know that Cyndi and I are praying for God's peace for you as you go through this time.
It is times like this, that it is so difficult to have such great distance between friends.

Dear Ann and family, As I remember Tommy,(we were in the same class at Adams High School), I remember an English class with Mrs. Williams' (no relation)interaction with Tommy and it was better than any Saturday Nite Live to date. Tom was just a wonderful, free and fun boy and then became the same wonderful, free and fun man, who appreciated life. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Heaven, Tom. No doubt that you will have God, St Pete and St. Thomas in stitches also.

To Ann, your family and Suzanne:
Our hearts are saddened to learn of Tom's passing. There are so many memories it is difficult to share them all. I remember, so clearly my father (Ned) bringing "Tommy" to our (Jackie's) house for my sisters and I to "baby sit." He was such a beautiful child and growing up was such a joy to be part of.
Don bought paper from Tom in his publishing days and it was always a pleasure to conduct business with him.
Please accept our deepest condolences.

To the Williams Family I send my condolences, I am sorry I will not be able to attend the calling hours or funeral because of a family trip to North Carolina. Tom was always one of my favorite people to talk with. I will miss his upbeat attitude, smile and laugh. I learned a lot from Tom over the years from his stories during the early years of our family store. He told me things about my mother, father and uncles that I never knew. My father hired Tom right out of high school as one of our first salespeople and even though he only worked for a short time he always maintained serious interest in how the business grew, changed and survived over the years and always wanted to be kept up to date on my family members. I will miss those conversations.

How does one express the joy in knowing such a man as Thomas Williams? He was always there to lend a hand when life presented it self with difficult times. He was there to lend a smile and words of encouragement and a hug to make you feel important when all seemed lost and then there was that great big smile across the way when you pulled in to Stewarts. He was a man who touched the heart of my family and made us want to do our best and to always keep on smiling!
No words can express the deep loss you must feel, but know for certain he brought joy and caring into the lives of others and that he will go on forever in the hearts of those that loved him and knew him. Now there is a prayer in my heart for peace and comfort, and happy memories. May others reach out to you as he did. Thank you for being a part of our lives, you will surely be missed!

I can't remember a time when I didn't know Tom and have so many memories that bring a smile to my face like he did for everyone who crossed his path.
The ones that stick out to me the most are during the two most difficult times for my family. On the first he "fibbed" his way into the ER at Samaritan when my mom had her stroke and claimed he was a relative...what a sight to see on that dark day. The second was when he delivered the eulogy at my brother Derek's memorial service. I can't think of a person more suited to do that and what a gift it was to my mom and dad.
Tom was a gem pure and simple and the most wonderful friend to my family. He will be sorely missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with Tom's family during this difficult time. Tom was one of our vendors at Dodge Graphic Press for many years. He was by far one of my father Mario Mannella's favorites. Tom was patient, persistent and straightforward with my dad. This is why he became a preferred vendor and more importantly a highly regarded friend. He had an incredible sense of humor and would brighten your day with his infectious laugh. At the same time he was genuinely caring and compassionate. Heaven gained a special angel in our friend Tom.

Sorry to learn of the passing of our good friend and neighbor from KK. Tom and myself had a special connection, as we were both fortunate to have been associated with the paper industry for many years. Every summer, Tom would ask me "how is the paper business", to which I would often reply, slow but steady! The industry meant a lot to Tom and I was happy to be a part of his conversations about paper. Tom always had a wave and a smile any time we saw him in KK. Never without something to say, I will miss his smiling face and great conversations! Luke and Karen Galloway - 70 KK Road

My earliest memory of Tom goes back to 1963 when I was working for Bud and Jane Pelton. I got my fingers caught in the beaters of an electric mixer trying to whip some mashed potatoes for dinner. Tom happen by, out of the blue with his big beautiful smile and easy going manner and very simply unplugged the mixer, released the beaters and saved me from my distress! I had no idea who he was but was so grateful to him. He was always so gracious, smiling, made you feel so warm and welcomed. He was always glad to see you, or at least that's how he made you feel. I'm so sorry I didn't get to see him at Tom Filhart's Dinner a few weeks ago when I was in Adams. He will be missed by so many. That is such a tribute to his life. He was a wonderful, generous, loving, giving, man. So blessed to have known him and call him friend. My heartfelt prayers to you, Ann and your children and grandchildren.
