Obituary of Virginia I Timmerman

Virginia I. Timmerman, 92, of Adams died Thursday at the Hospice of Jefferson County Residence at Ellis Farm, Watertown. There will be no services with burial to be private in the Spring. Arrangements are with the Piddock Funeral Home, Adams. Mrs. Timmertman was born in Lorraine, January 9, 1924 daughter of Fay and Neva Wilbur Reed. She graduated from Adams High School following which she worked as a secretary in local businesses in Adams. She married Sterling Timmerman July 8, 1945 in the Adams Village Baptist Church Rev. Brokaw officiating. The couple lived in Adams all their married life. Mr. Timmerman died July 21, 2004. Mrs. Timmerman is survived by three sons and two daughters in law, Rand R. (Betty Holtz) Timmerman, Syracuse, Ronald R. (Edie) Timmerman, St. George, Utah, Martin J. (Kim) Timmerman, Adams Center; a daughter and son in law Lynda L. (Edward R.) Jackson, San Diego, CA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Margery Nichols, Rochester and Georgiabell Moore, Lorraine; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother Robert Reed and two sisters, Nina Scott and Violet Wagner. Mrs. Timmerman enjoyed the outdoors, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and spent many hours crocheting, knitting and sewing.
